Privacy Policy
Effective November 5, 2026 (app analytics and reminder notifications added)
Domino Slam is a dominoes game you play in your browser or in our app. We collect as little as possible. There are no accounts. The website has no ads. The iPhone app shows ads from Google AdMob and uses Google Analytics for Firebase, both described below.
What we collect
- The name and icon you choose. Other players at your table see them. The name does not have to be your real name, and icons are picked from a fixed set (there are no photo uploads).
- A random player ID. Your device makes this when you first open the game and keeps it in your browser's storage. It lets you get your seat back if you lose connection. It is not linked to your identity.
- Chat messages. Messages you send are shown to everyone at the same table, including people watching from the bench.
- Reports. If someone reports a player, we keep the report: the names and player IDs of both players, the table, the reason, and the reported player's recent messages at that table.
- Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request information when you connect.
Purchases
Paid drinks, table designs and tile sets are bought in the iPhone app through Apple. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your name, Apple ID, card or address. To unlock a drink or table design, the app sends our server Apple's signed proof of purchase, which contains the item, a transaction number and the date. The server checks it and forgets it when you disconnect. Tile sets are checked on your phone with Apple and are not sent to our server. Your chosen drink, and the table design of the table you host, are shown to the other players at your table.
Ads in the iPhone app
To keep the game free, the iPhone app shows ads from Google AdMob: an ad after a finished game, and short videos you can choose to watch to try a paid drink, table or tile set for 30 minutes, or your own table photo for 1 hour. Ads never appear on the website or in the middle of a hand.
Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location and information about how you interact with the ads, to show and measure them and prevent fraud. The app asks for your permission before allowing tracking (Apple's "Allow tracking" prompt); if you say no, Google shows ads that are not personalized. Where the law requires it, you are also asked for consent first. Google's use of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
A one-time "Remove ads" purchase turns off the ads between games.
App analytics in the iPhone app
The iPhone app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the game is used, for example games finished, tables created, results shared and purchases made (with their price), along with basic device and app information and an app instance identifier. We use this to improve the game and to measure our own ads for Domino Slam. It does not include your name, chat or voice, and the app does not link it to the advertising identifier. Google's use of this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Reminder notifications
The iPhone app can show a few reminders to come back and play (2, 5 and 10 days after you last opened it). They are scheduled on your phone only; no server sends them and nothing about them leaves your device. The app asks for permission first, and you can turn them off any time in the iPhone's Settings.
Voice chat
Voice chat is only available at private tables and only when you choose to join it. Your browser or app asks for microphone permission first. Audio goes directly between the players' devices. It does not pass through our game server, and we never record or store it. To connect players, devices exchange network addresses through our server and through Google's public STUN service. If the server owner has set up a relay (TURN) service, audio may pass through that relay in encrypted form, still without being recorded.
How long we keep it
- Table chat and seating are kept in the server's memory only while the table is open, and are erased when the table closes or the server restarts.
- Reports and bans are kept in the server's memory and in our hosting provider's logs so we can review them. Hosting logs are kept for a limited time set by the provider.
- Your name, icon, player ID, blocked-player list, settings, and your stats and badges stay on your own device. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app removes them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. It is processed only by the services needed to run the game:
- Render hosts the game server.
- Google STUN servers help voice chat connect.
- Google AdMob shows the ads in the iPhone app.
- Google Analytics for Firebase measures app use in the iPhone app.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect players from harm.
Safety tools
A filter hides offensive words and links in chat and names. You can report or block any player. Blocking happens on your device: you stop seeing their messages and hearing their voice. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and players who break the rules are removed and banned.
Children
Domino Slam is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the game, contact us and we will remove what we can.
Your choices
- Use any name you like, and change it at any time.
- Don't join voice chat if you don't want to use your microphone. You can mute yourself or leave voice at any time.
- Say no to notifications, or turn them off later in the iPhone's Settings.
- Clear your browser data or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device.
- Ask us to delete a report about you, or anything else we hold, using the contact below.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Big changes will also be shown in the game.
